Junior Section
Welcome to Knowle CC’s youth section. We have a strong and successful history within our junior squads and continue to endeavour towards providing a safe and stimulating groundwork for young cricketers, as we try to find our next first team and senior player’s for the weekends.
Announcement: Junior registration night for the 2020 season will be at the Club from 7pm on Friday 6th March
Led by our current Youth Head Coach, Steve Windaybank, we currently have teams for Boys and Girls from ages Under 9 through to Under 17 who play competitive cricket. The Club runs a highly successful Youth section and organises and runs a very successful Under 9’s Competition during the summer.
We are proud to say that our boys and girls are trained by our group of 10 qualified coaches who’s levels range from ECB Level 1 through to National Coaching Award winning Level 2’s.
Summer 2020 supports the school summer term’s (2020 w/c April 17th – 17th July) and begins at Broadwalk Friday evenings from 6.15pm -8.00pm using our outfield and two hard wicket outdoor nets (with an artificial cushioned grass landing area to save the young joints from the stress of bowling). During this period we enter the Bristol & District Youth Cricket Leagues as well as League and National Cups.
